Currently, there are already fast-charging stations available, but the new ABB 360 kW station will be the fastest EV charger worldwide. According to the company, this station will fully charge an EV in just 15 minutes. By comparison, the fastest Tesla Supercharger stations currently offer a capacity of 250 kW.

The new EV charging station will not be a one-off project, as these stations are set to be deployed worldwide. The Terra 360 charging station can charge up to four EVs simultaneously. Even if drivers cannot wait 15 minutes for a full charge, ABB claims that in just three minutes of charging, the vehicle will have enough power to travel 100 kilometers.

Its built-in lighting system allows users to monitor the entire charging process, displaying battery status and estimated time to full charge. Additionally, the station is fully customizable to meet individual needs—for instance, clients can choose different color options or LED light schemes. An optional 68.6-inch advertising screen allows the display of photos and videos.

This world’s fastest charging station also boasts compactness. ABB expects Terra 360 chargers to meet the needs not only of private EV drivers at gas stations, self-service stores, or parking lots but also to be used by fleet operators and logistics companies in commercial facilities, quickly charging electric cars, vans, trucks, and other vehicles.

ABB is already perfecting the new fast-charging station, which is expected to debut in Europe by the end of this year. Next year, Terra 360 stations are set to expand to the United States, Latin America, and Asia. Although this charging station will be available in Europe soon, it may take some time before it reaches Lithuania.
