About Support for Installing Private EV Charging Points

The joint project "Installation of Private EV Charging Points" aims to directly address the issue of insufficient private charging station networks for electric vehicles (EV) by funding the installation of standard and medium-power charging points in private homes and near apartment buildings, where most of the country's residents and potential EV users live. Additionally, the project seeks to provide conditions for residents to charge EVs at workplaces.

The installed private EV charging points will encourage the replacement of polluting vehicles with clean transport, directly contributing to climate change mitigation.

Project Goal: Expansion of the EV charging network in Lithuania by installing private charging points.

Supported activities: Installation of private EV charging points, i.e., purchase and installation of electric vehicle charging stations with one or more access points in private homes, gardens; apartment building courtyards, parking lots, and garages; lighting infrastructure; workplaces (companies, institutions, organizations).

    Implementation period: 44 months (September 2022 – March 2026).

Result: 53,200 private EV charging points installed and operational in private homes, gardens; apartment building courtyards, parking lots, and garages; lighting infrastructure; workplaces (companies, institutions, organizations) by March 31, 2026.

Budget: 44,942,457.71 EUR (funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility Plan "Next Generation Lithuania").

The project was initiated by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania. It is implemented under the economic recovery and resilience plan "Next Generation Lithuania," funded by the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Facility "NextGenerationEU" (with an additional 389,951.31 EUR allocated from the state budget for investments).

The joint project is implemented and calls for applications for individuals (residents) and legal entities are announced by the Lithuanian Energy Agency, following the project financing conditions approved by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania.
